About the Conference

The Barishal Conference on Tobacco or Health 2026 (BCTOH 2026) is a premier gathering focused on strengthening tobacco control and public health action in Bangladesh.

The conference will bring together public health professionals, researchers, policymakers, social development workers, advocates, academics, healthcare professionals, students, and tobacco-control activists to share knowledge, research, experiences, and effective strategies for reducing tobacco use.

Tobacco use remains one of the leading preventable causes of disease and premature death. BCTOH 2026 aims to create a collaborative platform for discussing evidence-based approaches, policies, interventions, and community-level actions that can contribute to a tobacco-free Bangladesh and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Smoking cessation, tobacco dependence treatment, cessation services, behavioral support, and effective quitting strategies.

04. Graphic Health Warnings on Tobacco and Public Education Campaigns

05. Tobacco Industry Interference and TAPS
